Where do I start?

Oooh this blog at the moment is like the crisp white snow in my garden, I can't wait to put my footprints all over it. There are so many things I want to talk about, I just don't know where to start. My love of childrens' books, the moroccon meets scandanavian plans I have for my hall stairs & landing. Or just my new found happiness in this new house & the post relationship things I keep noticing about myself.
I do not like noise, when I was with the girl's Dad even though I liked his taste in music I did not like it on all the time...but he did. Perhaps it was because it was his choice of music that was playing as the same time as he chose what was on the TV. (whilst holding the remote). Anyway I have discovered this week that I actuallly now enjoy the radio being on in my kitchen.
Speaking of kitchens my fabric has come so I can make my kitchen blinds. I got it from ebay, I couldn't decide from the photo if I liked it or not, but ordered it because it was called "wild thing" and I just love Maurice Sendak"s 'Where the wild things are". Some of the best decisions I'v ever made are made with the silliest of logic.
Todays mission is sketch book rescue. A lot of boxes went into the loft when I moved in, in November. I had some work done up there last week & was told its very wet up there. What was I thinking putting my precious sketch books up there?

My first blog

February is an strange month for me, always filled with very mixed emotions so the fact I have chosen today to start my blog is just perfect.
I was introduced to blogs about 2 weeks ago by a new friend who has inspired me so much in the last 2 weeks.
As I looked through some of her favourite blogs I found some that brought a tear to my eye. Particularly that of Jane Foster. As I looked at pictures of her studio I remembered my spare bedroom 12 years ago. In the short of it over the past 10 years I have been worn away by life, death, illness, relationships & motherhood & forgotten who I am. So here is my blog about my journey back to my colourful self.
